The winners were chosen from over 400 entries submitted by broadcasters and producers from around the world. The British, the Japanese and the Germans received the most nods in the six categories under consideration. In addition to the six program awards, Robert Halmi Sr., chairman of Hallmark Entertainment, received the Intl. Council’s Founders Award, and Sam Nilsson, director general of Swedish Television, was honored with the Directorate Award.
